Grant volleyball squad posts 1-3 record over the weekend at the North Branch tourney

The Grant volleyball squad posted a 1-3 record on Saturday in a tournament at North Branch.

The Tigers, who are now 31-12-5 on the season, defeated Troy Athens (25-18, 25-23) and fell short against North Branch (13-25, 15-25), Cadillac (15-25, 17-25) and Corunna (21-25, 26-24, 11-15).

Grant was led by Olivia Keelean with 31 kills while Kylie Patton had 28 on the day.

The Tigers were also paced by Keelean defensively with 34 digs, while Jill Arends added 33 and Nicole Whan chipped in with 32.

Whan contributed with 83 assists for Grant and Patton had eight blocks.
