Pentwater volleyball squad finishes in second-place over the weekend in a Hesperia tournament

The Pentwater volleyball squad finished in second-place on Saturday in the Hesperia volleyball tournament.

The Falcons posted a 5-2-1 record during the event that ended in a loss to host Hesperia in the finals by scores of 16-25 and 20-25.

Pentwater advanced to the finals by beating Wyoming by scores of 25-20 and 25-20.

The Falcons also defeated Wyoming (25-20, 25-18), White Cloud (25-17, 25-14) Marion (25-14, 25-2) and Newaygo (25-15, 25-17) during pool play.

Pentwater split its match with Pine River (21-25, 25-17) and lost to Hesperia (17-25, 21-25) during pool competition.

Taylor Wilkinson made the all-tournament team for the Falcons.
