The Fremont girls basketball squad opened the season with a 51-30 non-league win over Holton on Tuesday.

The Packers were paced by Natalie Jamieson with 14 points while Calla Miller added nine points and eight steals.

Fremont, which led 14-11 at halftime and 32-16 after three quarters, was also led by Torey Reichert-Slater and Chloe Shriver, who each chipped in eight points, and Anna Patenge, who pulled down 15 rebounds.

The Red Devils were led by Kaylie Piper with 12 points.

MANISTEE 50, MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 36 – Mason County Central opened the sesaon with a non-league loss. The Spartans trailed 16-10 after the first quarter, 25-23 at halftime and 36-30 after three quarters. Rachel Allen paced Mason County Central with 20 points, while Maddy Bladzik added 11 points and Madison Bennett grabbed 10 rebounds.

ROCKFORD 51, KENT CITY 40 – Kent City led 11-10 after the first quarter, but then fell behind and trailed 30-18 at halftime and 42-28 after three quarters. Jenna Harrison paced Kent City with 15 points while Kenzie Bowers added 12.

HART 55, PENTWATER 32 – The Pirates were led by Yasmine Colon with a game-high 21 points and 13 rebounds while Landry Tate added eight points. Hart jumped out to a 33-14 advantage at halftime and led 42-25 after three quarters. Pentwater was paced by Taylor Wilkinson and Julia Hall with 18 and 12 points, respectively.

OTTAWA HILLS 61, SPRING LAKE 35 – The Bengals jumped out to a 19-4 lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Madeline Zenas led Spring Lake with 14 points while Madelyn Nelson added 10.
