Jayhawks womens’ soccer team reaches regional finals before ending season

The Muskegon Community College women’s soccer team ended its season on Sunday in the finals of the National Junior College Athletic Association Region 12 tournament.

The Jayhawks lost the championship game 3-0 to Schoolcraft Community College.

MCC reached the finals with a 1-0 win over Jackson College on Saturday. Emily Winicki scored the game’s only goal in the second half, with an assist from Yojaira Campos.

Campos, Jenna Janke and Viviana Mireles were named to the Region 12 All Tournament team.

MCC finished the season with a 9-7-1 record.
