The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls basketball team overcame a halftime deficit and downed Grand Rapids NorthPointe Christian 52-38 on Thursday in non-league action.

Calvary trailed 20-19 at the break, then recovered with a 33-18 advantage in the second half.

Kelsey Richards posted 28 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Eagles. Lizzie Cammenga added 16 points, Brionna Johnson snagged 16 rebounds and Kristina Warren had six assists.

Emily Wesner played strong defense on Baylie VanDyke, NorthPointe’s leading scorer, holding her to nine points.
