The Grand Haven girls basketball squad pulled out a 37-30 victory over West Ottawa on Friday night in an OK Red Conference contest.

The Bucs trailed 27-24 heading into the fourth quarter, then outscored the Panthers 13-3 in the final stanza to earn the win.

Alli Keyser paced Grand Haven with nine points and five assists while Sophie Ariani added eight points.

The Bucs are now 7-2 on the season and 1-1 in league play.

OK Blue

SPRING LAKE 50, ALLENDALE 23 – Madeline Zenas’ 16-point and 10-rebound performance led the Lakers to an OK Blue Conference victory. Jenna Core added 10 points and 14 rebounds for Spring Lake while Linsey Paggeot chipped in with seven points. The Lakers blanked Allendale by a 12-0 margin during the first quarter, led 26-6 at halftime and had a 37-8 advantage through three quarters.

OK Black

MUSKEGON 62, GRAND RAPIDS UNION 27 – The Big Reds (6-2, 3-0) jumped out to a 11-5 lead after the first quarter, led 27-11 at halftime and had a 45-16 advantage through three buzzers. Daz’sha Day paced Muskegon with 14 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals. Raven Fairfield added eight points and seven rebounds for the Big Reds while Sa’niya Lowery chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.

JENISON 43, REETHS-PUFFER 30 – The Rockets trailed 6-3 after the first quarter, 14-8 at halftime and 32-14 through three buzzers. Lauren Ross paced Reeths-Puffer with 12 points and nine rebounds, while Emily Caltagirone added 10 points and Bridget McHugh pulled down eight rebounds.

KENOWA HILLS 48, FRUITPORT 24 – The Trojans were paced by Emily Dirske with nine points. Fruitport led 6-2 after the first quarter, trailed 24-12 at halftime and were behind by a 29-18 margin heading into the final stanza.

West Michigan Conference 

SHELBY 50, MONTAGUE 40 – Jenny Beckman’s 29-point performance paced the Tigers over Montague in a West Michigan Conference battle. Shelby led 14-13 after the first quarter, 31-20 at halftime and had a 41-32 advantage heading into the final frame. Tori Mussell chipped in with 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Tigers. The Wildcats were led by Grace Meachum with 16 points.

MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 57, RAVENNA 44- The Spartans were able to take care of the Ravenna on the road to grab a West Michigan Conference victory Friday night. Mason County Central led 13-10 after the first quarter, then went on a 18-11 second quarter run to take a 31-21 halftime advantage. Madisen Bennett led the way for the Spartans (6-3, 5-2) with 15 points. The Bulldogs (1-9, 0-6) were paced by Megan Crowley and Taylor Maycroft with 12 and 11 points, respectively.
