The Mason County Central boys basketball team pulled out a hard-fought 45-41 victory over Oakridge on Thursday in a West Michigan Conference tilt.

Oakridge led 9-6 after one quarter, and the score was tied 18-18 at halftime. The Spartans trailed 39-38 with three minutes left, then went on a 7-0 run to snatch the win.

Tyler Bromley paced Mason County Central with 18 points, seven rebounds and three steals. Jeffery Carrier added 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Oakridge had unusually balanced scoring with four players each scoring eight points – Peyton Young, Jaxon Fri, TJ Ruel and Alex Shoop. Young also had eight rebounds.
