Mona Shores girls basketball team holds on to early lead for road victory

The Mona Shores girls basketball team traveled to Ludington on Wednesday and came out on top 41-32 in non-conference girls basketball game which was a makeup of a December postponement.

The Sailors (4-2, 6-7) outscored the Orioles in each quarter taking a 12-9 lead after the first and a 21-16 lead into halftime.

Nia Miskel led the way for Mona Shores with 11 points and seven rebounds, Julia Tierman had seven points and six rebounds and Veronica Kastelic grabbed eight rebounds.

The Sailors next travel to Jenison on Friday for an O-K Black match up beginning at 6 p.m.
