A strong fourth quarter effort propelled the Ludington boys basketball team to a 54-45 non-league win over Cadillac on Tuesday.

Ludington (5-1, 3-0) trailed 39-35 entering the final quarter, but outscored Cadillac 19-6 over the final eight minutes.

Josh Laman led the way for Ludington with 15 points while Brayden Porter added 10. The Orioles hit eight three-pointers in the game.

ORCHARD VIEW 70, HESPERIA 41 – The Cardinals (3-4) dominated the second half to pick up a non-conference win over the Panthers (2-5). Orchard View led just 31-22 at the break, but built a 39-19 advantage in the final two quarters to pull away. Jaylin Briggs scored a game-high 22 points to lead OV. Ke’ontae Barnes and Brady Bowen both reached double figures, with 13 and 11 points, respectively. Jacob Klemundt and Isaac Parker both had 12 points for Hesperia.

MUSKEGON CATHLIC 54, PENTWATER 42 – The Crusaders led by just one point at halftime, but were able to pull away from the Falcons with a 31-20 edge in the second half.  Jordan Porter had 14 points, nine rebounds and three blocks for the Crusaders while Jared Dugener had 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Ian Stewart scored 12 points to lead Pentwater. Max Stoneman added nine points and seven rebounds.

CSAA

FREMONT 69, CENTRAL MONTCALM 49 – Fremont improved to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in league play with a CSAA conference victory over the Hornets. The Packers led by as many as 27 points in the fourth, before settling for a 20 point win. Logan Karnemaat and Calvin Miller carried the load for Fremont. Karnemaat scored 20 points, while Miller chipped in 17.
