Muskegon squeaked out a close 59-55 win over host Grand Rapids Union on Monday night.

The Big Reds needed 23 fourth-quarter points to pull out the O-K Black matchup that was postponed on Friday due to inclement weather.

Trailing 39-36 at the end third quarter, Muskegon went on a 23-16 run to close out the game. The Big Reds trailed from the start as they fell behind 14-7 after the first quarter and trailed 29-22 at halftime.

Willie Shanks led the way for Muskegon with 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Eonte Tornes scored 15 points and had three assists while Edriese Jenkins chipped in 12 points.

Grand Rapids Union’s Jeremiah Pittman scored 19 points and Justin Fox added 15.
