Goalie Keegan Karki was at the top of his game on Friday, posting a shutout to lead the Muskegon Lumberjacks to a tense 1-0 road victory over the Fargo Force.

Karki stopped all 37 Fargo shots to post his second shutout of the season.

The lone goal of the game came in the second period, when Muskegon’s Jackym Kondelik scored at the 17:32 mark. He was assisted by Marc Del Gaizo and Emilio Pettersen.

Fargo goalie Strauss Mann also had a very good night, stopping 26 of 27 Muskegon shots.

The Lumberjacks, who won their second straight game, improved to 19-15-2 on the season. They are in second place in the USHL’s Eastern Conference with 40 points, one point ahead of Chicago, Dubuque and Youngstown, who are tied for third.

Muskegon trails first-place Team USA by seven points.

The Jacks and Force will have a rematch on Saturday night in Fargo.
