Western Michigan Christian gets past North Muskegon in Class C girls district semis

The Western Michigan Christian girls basketball team advances to the Class C district finals after a 69-48 victory over North Muskegon on Wednesday night.

The Warriors controlled the game throughout, leading 16-8 after the first quarter, 40-18 at halftime and 52-35 at the end of the third quarter.

Aubrey Goorman had a big night with 25 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks, while Anna Sytsema added 14 points.

WMC will face Kent City in the district finals on Friday night at North Muskegon High School.
