The Muskegon girls basketball team clinched the O-K Black Conference championship with a 59-45 road victory over Jenison on Tuesday.

The Big Reds had to come from way behind to get the win and the title.

Muskegon trailed 18-7 at the end of the first quarter but cut the deficit to just one heading into the halftime break. The third quarter was all Big Reds, who outscored the Wildcats by 12 points and led 40-29 heading into the fourth.

Alyza Winston paced the Big Reds with 29 points while Daz’ Sha Day added 12.

The Big Reds are now 17-2 overall and 11-0 in conference play.
