The Mason County Central boys basketball squad defeated Ravenna 51-45 on Friday night in a West Michigan Conference game.

The Spartans jumped out to a 12-4 lead after the first quarter and led 23-16 at halftime.

Ravenna (9-9, 6-8) stormed back in the third quarter to take the lead, but the Spartans regained the lead in the fourth quarter and came away with the victory.

Tyler Bromley led Mason County Central (12-7, 9-5) with 18 points, while Jeffery Carrier added 14 points and 13 rebounds.

The Bulldogs were led by Jacob May with 10 points.

OAKRIDGE 57, WHITEHALL 50- The Eagles started out strong, jumping out to an 8-0 lead. The Vikings weathered the early storm, trailing just 16-15 at the end of the first quarter. Whitehall kept the game close, trailing 32-29 at halftime. Oakridge increased its lead to 45-37 heading into the fourth and cruised to the victory. Jaxson Fri led the Eagles (8-11, 6-8) with 13 points. Brandon Rake paced the Vikings (12-6, 9-5) with 13 points.

NORTH MUSKEGON 59, HART 45 – T.J McKenzie led the Norse with 24 points. North Muskegon (17-2, 13-1) only led 28-26 at halftime, then increased the lead to seven points during the third quarter and put the game out of reach late. Deshary Warren added nine points for the Norse, while Jesse Cooke pulled in 10 rebounds. Dustin Klotz led Hart with 13 points while Angel Salgado had 12.

SHELBY 53, MONTAGUE 42 – Tristian Landis scored 14 points to lead the Tigers to a victory. Shelby led throughout the entire game and stretched its lead to 13 points in the third quarter. Hunter Mosher and Nick Stever each paced the Wildcats (11-7, 8-6) with 10 points each.
