The Fremont boys basketball team held to beat Grant 61-56 on Friday in a Class B district title contest.

The Packers led throughout the entire game, once by 12 points, but struggled to put the game away early.

Fremont had a three-point advantage with just 30 seconds left in regulation and iced the game with a pair of free throws.

Logan Karnemaat paced the Packers with 20 points and 15 rebounds while Calvin Miller added 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Fremont’s Ben Schmidt and Riley Krim each chipped in with 10 points apiece.

The Packers will face Grand Rapids South Christian on Monday in the Class B regional semifinals. Tipoff will be at 8:00 p.m at Grand Rapids West Catholic.
