Orchard View and Whitehall split their baseball doubleheader on Wednesday. The Cardinals eked out Game 1 with a 5-4 victory while Whitehall turned the tables with a 5-1 win in the nightcap.

Orchard View’s AJ Anderson and Macario Moreno both posted a pair of hits and an RBI to lead the Cardinals in the opener.

Pitcher Chase Keller picked up the win on the mound and helped himself out at the plate with two RBI for the Cardinals.

Austin Groeneveld led Whitehall with two hits and two RBI while Haddan Young and Kayleb Venema posted two hits apiece.

Groeneveld led in Whitehall’s Game 2 win, striking out eight while giving up three hits and three walks on five innings pitched.

The Viking’s were led at the plate by Ethan Schaeffer with a hit and two RBI while Tom Balaskovitz had a hit and scored two runs.

Orchard View’s Jayden Day had a single and scored the Cardinal’s lone run in Game 2.
