Sarah Mikesell scores two goals to lead Mona Shores over West Ottawa in girls soccer

The Mona Shores girls soccer squad cruised past Holland West Ottawa 5-1 on Wednesday in their home opener.

The Sailors were led by Sarah Mikesell with two goals while Emma Tilden, Peyton Erndteman and Carlie McNiff added a goal each.

Alexa Dorsey, Aubery Cooper, Erndteman and Julia Tierman each chipped in with an assist for Mona Shores.

The Sailors, who improved to 2-0 on the season, outshot West Ottawa by a 10-4 margin.
