The Western Michigan Christian baseball squad earned two victories on Tuesday in a doubleheader against Hesperia.

The Warriors won the opener 9-2, then defeated Hesperia 8-2 in the nightcap.

WMC was led in Game 1 by Jamo Goorman, who earned the win allowing one run and striking out six, while Michael Kramps came in relief and added seven strikeouts.

Jake Moser, Nick Moser, and Cam Beisel each had two hits to lead the Warrior offense. In Game 2, Jaxon Deur got the win on the mound tossing four strikeouts for WMC.

Andrew Hill led WMC with two hits, while Nick Moser added two RBI’s. 

NON-CONFERENCE

MONA SHORES 5, HOLTON 4 – Andrew Moss pitched the win for the Sailors allowing one earned run in five innings while striking out seven batters.

Connor Belanger picked up the save, retiring the final two hitters with the bases loaded while Max Spagnuolo led Mona Shores (3-0) offensively with a hit, walk, RBI and a run scored.

MUSKEGON CATHOLIC CENTRAL 13, NEWAYGO 4 – Heath Cory earned the win on the mound tossing six innings for the Crusaders.

Carson St. Amour recorded two hits and scored four runs, while Josh Holden, Nolan Convertini, Cory and Jackson Riegler also added two hits each.

MCC improved to 3-0 on the season. 

O-K BLUE

ALLENDALE 10-7, SPRING LAKE 0-6 – The Lakers were led in Game 1 by David Rumptz and Ryan Peets with two hits apiece.

In Game 2, Griffin Lorimer had three hits and an RBI while TJ Cunningham added three hits and a run scored.

O-K BLACK

KENOWA HILLS 13, FRUITPORT 3 – The Trojans trailed 6-3 going into the bottom of the 6th, but a seven-run frame for the Knights sealed the victory.

Luke Hronek and Parker Tawney each had two hits to lead Fruitport.

Game 2 was postponed due to darkness.
