The West Michigan Christian/Muskegon Catholic Central softball team swept a non-league doubleheader from Godwin Heights on Thursday, 22-7 and 16-3.

Leading the way for WMCC in the opener fwas Rebecca Ter Haar with an inside-the-park homer amd four RBIs. Hannah Nestell knocked in six runs. Sophie Hawke pitched five innings in relief and struck out eight to get the win.

In Game 2, WMCC opened up a 16-0 lead in the third inning before the game was called due to darkness. Pacing WM<CC was Maria Sanocki with three hits and two RBIs. Sanocki also got the win on the mound, striking out two in three innings.
