The Western Michigan Christian baseball team didn’t let a 5-2 seventh inning deficit hold it back from beating Muskegon Catholic 6-5 in Lakes 8 conference action on Wednesday. 

Jake Moser belted an RBI double to score Jamo Goorman, giving WMC the come-back win. The Warriors strung together five consecutive hits to find the win in the seventh.

Tyler VanBeek led at the plate for the Warriors, collecting three hits. Nick Moser, Jake Moser, Goorman and Cam Beisel had two hits apiece.

Michael Kamps posted the win on the hill for WMC, going four innings.

Riley St. Amour pitched six innings for MCC, giving up two runs while striking out six. Josh Holden and Max Price each had two hits for the Crusaders.

In Game 2, MCC led 6-1 after four innings of play before rain suspended the game.
