North Muskegon tennis team downs Grant in a matchup of state-ranked teams

The North Muskegon girls’ tennis team defeated Grant 6-2 on Monday is a showdown of two state-ranked teams.

The Norse entered the match ranked fourth in Division 4 while Grant was ranked 10^th.

Winning singles matches for North Muskegon were Alicia Hall (No.1), Claire McCall (No. 2) and Lindsay Bliss (No. 3). Doubles winners for the Norse were Belles Hardman and Lily Montgomery (No. 1), Sophia Effken and Carina Steketee (No. 3) and Marion Eacker and Sam Madision (No. 4).

Grant’s Kirstyn Throop won the No. 4 singles match. Grant won by forfeit in No. 2 doubles.
