Sarah Mikesell reaches 100 career goals, Mona Shores shuts out GR Union in soccer

Mona Shores forward Sarah Mikesell scored three goals, leading the Sailors to an 8-0 victory over Grand Rapids Union on Thursday in O-K Black Conference soccer action.

Mikesell reached 100 career goals in the victory. She is reportedly the first Muskegon County high school girls’ soccer player to reach the triple-figure goal-scoring mark.

Mal Meston, Erin Powers, Mieke Hart, Nora Brown and Bri Wade also scored for Mona Shores. Julia Tierman and Mal Maston split time in goal and shared the shutout.
