The Oakridge softball squad blanked Zeeland West 5-0 in a non-league game on Friday.

Kayla Fessenden led the Eagles to victory Friday night, punching out nine batters and earning the shutout.

Sophia Wiard and Brie Pastor led Oakridge with two hits each while Pastor, Halle Jennings, Kylee Upson and Hayden Ruel each knocked in an RBI in the 5th inning, giving the Eagles a five-run lead.

The Eagles are now 29-5 on the season.

SHELBY 7-0, WHITE CLOUD 17-17 – The Shelby softball team struggled Friday night against visiting White Cloud, dropping both games in the doubleheader.

In the opener, Dana Payne led the Tigers with three hits, while McKenna Peters picked up two hits and Tori Mussell had two hits, including a two-run homer.

Kasey Morse had the lone hit in the nightcap for Shelby.

HESPERIA 17-17, LAKEVIEW 2-2 – The Panthers scored 34 runs in just over six innings of play on Friday.

Shelby Follett pitched the win on the mound in both games for Hesperia, striking out nine batters in Game 1 and three in Game 2.

In the opener, Ellie Palmer led the Panthers with three hits and four RBIs while Kaecie Hornsby also recorded three hits and added an RBI.

Hornsby led the team in Game 2, recording three hits and three RBIs.

Follett added a double and a three-run homer for Hesperia, which improved to 10-10 in the CSAA Silver play and 19-11 overall.

MONTAGUE 9-13, HART 1-0- The Wildcats were led by Madison Carroll, who had a 12 strike out performance in the opener. Carroll also notched three hits offensively along with Kat Moreau.

The Pirates were led in Game 1 by Cassidy Copenhaver and Myryssa Hopkins with two hits each.

Pitcher Alexis Marsh picked up the win in Game 2 for Montague while Moreau led the team with three hits and Chloe Winn added two singles.

In the nightcap for Hart, Copenhaver and Nicole Rockwell each had three hits while Rylee Noggle recorded two.
