The Mona Shores softball team won a pair of games against Grand Rapids Union on Tuesday in shutout fashion.

The Sailors cruised past GR Union in the opener by a 16-0 margin, then won the nightcap 15-0.

Mona Shores is now 13-9 on the season and 5-1 in league play.

The Sailors played long ball in the opener with Veronica Kastelic, Taylor Dew and Maddie Mettler all crushing 2-run homers while Lauryn Patterson got the win from the mound.

Emma Lynn picked up the win in Game 2 and Madison Sewick led the offense with a triple and three RBIs.

FRUITPORT 1-2, REETHS PUFFER 0-6 – Rachel Paulsen threw a complete game shutout in Game 1 to give the Trojans the victory. Paulsen struck out 10 batters and only allowed two hits. Kennedy Dykstra led the offensive charge with two hits and an RBI.

In Game 2, the Rockets jumped out to a 4-0 lead and added insurance runs in the 7th. Shefter earned the win for Reeths-Puffer and added a hit and an RBI.

Fruitport is 7-12 overall and 3-6 in conference play

CSAA

HOLTON 10-14, MORLEY STANWOOD 6-2 – The Red Devils were able to sweep the Mohawks in an inter-conference doubleheader Tuesday night.

In Game 1, Haylee Brant threw 4 1/3 innings while Kylie Gould came in for relief to pick up the victory. Adreanna Fitzgerald led the Red Devils at the plate going 2-for-3 with a double.

Gould came back to pitch Game 2 and threw a complete game while allowing two runs.

Brant paced the Red Devil hitters, going 4-for-4 with a double.

Holton improved to 16-4 on the year and 11-1 in conference play.

WHITE CLOUD 11-6, HESPERIA 2-4 – The Panthers dropped both games of a CSAA Silver doubleheader on Tuesday to fall to a 12-6 overall record and 7-5 in conference play.

Ellie Palmer provided the offense for Hesperia in the opener with a single, double, and two RBIs. Alyssa Miller and Natalie McGahan each added a hit as well.

In Game 2, Lilah Majersky drove in all four Panther runs. She hit a home run and doubled. Miller and Shelby Follett each had two knocks in the nightcap.

MANISTEE 16-15, WMCC 1-0 – WMCC scored its lone run on an RBI double by Catherine Bradford-Royle.

Bradford-Royle collected two hits while Mosher added one to lead the WMCC offense.

Maria Sanocki (MCC) handled the pitching duties for WMCC and struck out three batters. Sophie Hawke (WMC) did the pitching for WMCC and struck out two in Game 2.
