Spring Lake softball team beats Coopersville, improves to 15-0

The Spring Lake softball team continued to roll with a 13-0 victory over Coopersville on Monday in O-K Blue Conference play.

Leah Vaughn pitched a one-hit shutout for the Lakers, who clinched the victory in five innings. Linsey Paggeot led the offense with three hits, including two doubles, and four RBIs. Lauren Hellman, Madelyn Nelson and Lauren Somers had two hits apiece.

Eight different Lakers had hits and 10 scored at least one run.

Spring Lake, ranked third in the state in Division 2, improved to 15-0 overall and 9-0 in conference play.
