Fruitport used a dominating pitching performance from Logan Wadland to top Muskegon Catholic 11-1 in a non-league baseball matchup on Wednesday.

Wadland allowed just one run in five innings and struck out five for the Trojans.

Parker Tawney and Lucas Kleyn each had two hits for Fruitport.

Muskegon Catholic was led by Zack Fooks with two hits.

WEST MICHIGAN D

PENTWATER 4-8, MESICK 3-9 – The Falcons split a doubleheader on Wednesday, taking Game 1 4-3 before falling 9-8 in the nightcap. Pentwater is now 10-6 overall and 7-1 in WMD play.

Max Stoneman earned the win in Game 1. He pitched 5.2 innings and struck out three. Stoneman, Glenn Miller, and Iain Stewart each went 1-3 with an RBI.
Stoneman led the offense in the second game with three hits and two driven in. Austin Hoffman had two hits and two RBI. Billy Sproul drove in two and Julien Nyberg collected two hits.
TUESDAY
MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 3-8, ORCHARD VIEW 1-2 – Riley St. Amour pitched the opener and collected seven strikeouts over seven innings. Navarre Klint had two hits and two RBI, while Josh Holden drove in one. In the nightcap, Max Price took center stage. The freshman picked up the win on the mound and smacked three hits to drive in two runs. St. Amour and Carson Bleicher had two hits each.
GRAND HAVEN 3, ROCKFORD 1 – The Bucs scored three runs in the fifth to pick up the win. Alex Kapala drove in two runs with a hit and scored a run as well. Owen Krizan dominated on the mound, pitching a complete game with two strikeouts.
