Western Michigan Christian notched a key Lakes 8 Conference win over Muskegon Catholic on Wednesday.

The Warriors held on for a 2-1 victory and handed the Crusaders their first conference loss of the season. Both teams now sit at 6-1 in conference play with one game left.

Emily Rosema and Abby Oppenhuizen each scored for WMC. Maddie Woods assisted on both goals.

The Warriors are 8-9 overall on the season.

LUDINGTON 2, ORCHARD VIEW 0 – The Orioles picked up their first Lakes 8 win of the season on Wednesday. Ludington is now 2-8-2 (1-5-1) this season. Bre Mesyar and Haleigh Huber provided the offense for Ludingtin, each scoring goals. Addy Ward had two assists. Allison Janowiak picked up three saves for the shutout in goal for Ludington.

FREMONT 3, LAKEVIEW 0 – Fremont avenged an earlier season loss to Lakeview with a shutout win on Wednesday. The Packers improved to 8-7-1 overall and 7-4-1 in conference play. Bre Harris was the catalyst on offense with a goal and two assists. Holly Kortge and Natalie Jamieson eached scored one goal. Lexie Luchies made seven saves to earn the shutout in goal.
