The West Michigan Whitecaps were on the wrong side of a blowout on Tuesday, losing 13-1 to Clinton.

In total, Clinton finished with 13 runs on 16 hits while West Michigan scored one run on five hits.

Brady Policelli had the lone RBI for West Michigan when he doubled home Alexis Garcia in the third inning, giving West Michigan a 1-0 lead.

That 1-0 lead didn’t last long as Clinton scored five runs in the fourth, three more in the fifth and five more in the sixth.

West Michigan will wrap up its home series against Clinton at noon on Wednesday.

Overall, the Whitecaps are now 17-14 n the year and in fourth place of the Midwest League Eastern Division, three games behind Bowling Green for first.
