The Spring Lake softball team continued their perfect season and capture a Division 2 district title on Saturday.

The Lakers, who have now won four straight district titles, defeated Allendale by a 7-1 margin in the championship game.

Leah Vaughan pitched the win for Spring Lake, striking out nine batters.

The Lakers were paced offensively by Lauren Hellman and Madelyn Nelson with three hits each while Jenna Core and Alivia Mumby added two each.

Spring Lake advanced to the title game after defeating Fruitport 7-2 in the district semifinals.

Hellman, Linsey Paggeot, Molly Poole and Kileah Rymal led the Lakers with two hits apiece.

Vaughan picked up the win from the mound, striking out 10 Trojan batters.

The Lakers are now 38-0 on the season and will face Wayland next Saturday morning at Hope College in the Division 2 regional semifinals.
