The Spring Lake baseball team won a Division 2 district championship on Saturday by beating Coopersville in the finals.

Pitcher Isiah Lindsey tossed a gem in the championship game, going all seven innings without giving up a run, giving up only two hits and striking out three. Lindsey also knocked in a pair of runs while David Rumptz had a hit and scored two runs and Griffin Lorimer had a hit and scored once.

The Lakers reached the finals by beating Kenowa Hills 4-3 in eight innings in the semifinals.

Spring Lake now advances to regional play next Saturday.
