The West Michigan Whitecaps scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth for a 5-4 come from behind victory on Friday night.

With the score 4-3 in favor of Dayton and West Michigan down to their final out, Cole Peterson doubled to left field scoring Ulrich Bojarski and Alexis Garcia for the walk-off win.

Peterson finished with three RBIs and two hits on the night, while Garcia and Bojarski also had two hits on the night.

Whitecaps starter Tom de Blok picked up a no-decision, allowing three runs on nine hits while striking out five in six innings of work.

The Whitecaps are now 34-34 overall and in fourth place of the Midwest League Eastern Division, 11.5 games behind first place Bowling Green.

Dayton and West Michigan will continue their series on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
