The West Michigan Whitecaps lost both games of a doubleheader in Fort Wayne on Sunday, falling 8-3 and 6-3.

In Game 1, Jordan Pearce led the West Michigan offense with two hits Eric De La Rosa, Jose Azocar and Reynaldo Rivera all had an RBI.

Starting pitcher Brad Bass took the loss in the first game, allowing five earned runs on seven hits in four innings of work.

In Gam 2, Anthony Pereira and Garrett McCain each had two hits and an RBI to lead the Whitecaps offense.

West Michigan is now 2-2 in the second half of the season and two games behind Lansing and South Bend in the Midwest League Eastern Division. Overall, the Whitecaps are 38-36 on the year.

The Whitecaps will remain on the road Monday, starting a three game series at South Bend. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
