The Kent City football team improved to 2-0 with a non-conference win over Beal City on Friday night.

The Eagles fell behind 6-0 early, but rallied for a 13-6 victory.

Beal City scored on its opening drive on a one-yard run by Brendan Shaner.

Kent City got on the scoreboard with just nine seconds left in the first half on an 86-yard touchdown run by Gio Weeks.
Weeks added another score in the fourth quarter to seal the win. He finished with 207 rushing yards on 21 carries.
Jaden Williams led the Eagles defense with eight tackles.
Kent City will open CSAA conference play by hosting White Cloud next Friday.
