The North Muskegon boys soccer team came away with a 2-1 victory Friday night against Grand Rapids Covenant Christian in a non-league contest.

Trevor Schultz put the Norseman on the board first with an assist from Brody Hoffman.

North Muskegon led 1-0 at halftime.

Hudson Yaussy added a goal on a pass from Brendan Gannon to give the Norse a 2-0 advantage.

Covenant Christian scored late in the second half off a penalty kick to cut its margin to 2-1.

North Muskegon’s goalkeeper Nick Gertsweiler picked up the win in goal, stopping nine shots.

The Norse are now 4-1 on the season.
