The Muskegon Heights football team lost to Detroit Community 36-12 on Friday in a non-league contest.

The Tigers tied the game 6-6 with 6:11 remaining in the first quarter on a 13-yard touchdown pass from Lamonta Townsend to Terrance Williams.

Detroit Community responded by scoring the next 12 points to take an 18-6 lead.

Muskegon Heights cut its deficit to 18-12 with the last first half score on a two-yard touchdown run by Williams.

Detroit Community outscored the Tigers by an 18-0 margin during the second half.

Townsend led all passers with 157 yards and one touchdown on 14-of-27 passing while Williams finished with 41 yards rushing.
