The Hart girls cross country team took first place at the Portage Invitational on Saturday, led by Adelyn Ackley who finished first.

Adelyn Ackley finished with a time of 17:35 to lead the pace while Savannah Ackley finished fifth with a time of 19:14.

Lynae Ackley finished seventh overall with a time of 19:30 while MacKenzie Stitt finished eighth with a time of 19:34.

Rouding out the Hart team was Audrey Enns who finished 11th(19:55), Brenna Aerts who finished 21st(20:12), and Lauren Vanderlaan who finished 42nd(20:46).

HART BOYS TEAM TAKES THIRD

The Hart boys cross country team took third place at the Portage Invitational with 162 total team points.

Alex Enns paced the Hart team with a fifth place finish (16:40), while Hunter Tubbs finished 19th(17:21).

Rounding out the Hart team was Andrew Whitney at 30thoverall (17:29), Mikey Tubbs at 54th(18:00), Zach Bitley at 58th(18:04), Spencer Vander Zwagg at 65th(18:10) and Will Schlaack at 94th(18:43).

FREMONT BOYS TAKE SECOND AT PORTAGE

The Fremont boys cross country team finished second overall with 184 total points at the Portage Invitational.

Nathan Walker led the Packers with a fourth place finish with a time of 15:48 while Ben Paige finished 19thwith a time of 16:41.

Rounding out the Packer times were Conor Somer at 32ndovereall (16:56), Adam Ward at 42nd(17:01) and Nathan Johnson at 97th(17:48).

FREMONT GIRLS RUN TO FIFTH PLACE

The Fremont girls took home fifth place at Portage with a total of 292 points.

Hannah Hailton led the Packers at 24thoverall with a time of 19:38 wihle Leah Converse placed

71stwith a time of 21:02.

Taava Johnson finished with a time of 22:36 for Fremont.
