The Hesperia football team failed to keep up with Beal City offensively, dropping its non-conference matchup 47-12 on Friday.

The Panthers trailed 14-0 after the first quarter, 33-0 at halftime and 40-12 after three quarters.

Quarterback Logan Balkema threw two touchdown passes to Jacob Klemundt for four and 51 yards. He totaled 111 passing yards on 6-for-20 on attempts.

Balkema also led defensively with eight tackles.

Hesperia, which will close out the season next Friday against Shelby, is now 1-7 on the season and 1-4 in league play.
