The Kent City football team ended its season with a 48-28 loss to Saugatuck in Division 7 pre-districts on Friday night.

The game was tight early on with both teams tied 7-7 after the first quarter and 21-21 at halftime.

The Indians outscored Kent City 14-7 during the third quarter to take a 35-28 advantage heading into the fourth.

Saugatuck closed out the scoring with two touchdowns in the final stanza.

Giovanni Weeks led the Eagles with 312 yards rushing on 35 carries with three touchdowns.

Kent City, which was 8-1 during the regular season, finished with 445 total yards.
