The Ludington football team clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2016 after cruising to a 56-14 victory over Stockbridge on Friday.

The Orioles were tough defensively, only allowing 69 rushing yards throughout the contest.

Garrett Meeker led the Orioles on the ground with 21 carries for 179 yards and two scores while completing nine passes through the air for 121 yards and two touchdowns.

Shemar Jennings had 15 carries for 125 yards and two scores on the ground. Calvin Irelan tallied 89 yards on 11 carries and two touchdowns.

Ludington was paced defensively by Luke Fountain and Preston Keeley with 12 and 11 tackles, respectively, while Drew Arce had an interception.

The Orioles are now 6-2 on the year and will close out the season on the road against Mason County Central.
