The Spring Lake soccer team collected three first-half goals – two by Eli Denslow and one from Luke Bronold – en route to an impressive 4-0 win over Grand Rapids West Catholic in O-K Blue conference play on Tuesday.

Tommy Fine scored the fourth goal for Spring Lake in the second half. Defenders Porter Saunders, Liam Beck, Gavin DeVowe and Armani Albiertes helped keeper Aidan Parker secure the shutout.

O-K BLACK

REETHS-PUFFER 2, FRUITPORT 2 – The teams traded goals in both the first and second half of the O-K Black game.

Adam Prince scored first for R-P while Cody Mayette evened the score for the Trojans in the first half. Aidan McHugh scored early in the second half for the Rockets, before Logan Manciu scored the tying goal for Fruitport late in the game.

R-P is now 3-9-3 overall and 1-6-2 in league play.

LAKES 8

ORCHARD VIEW 2, LUDINGTON 1 – The Ludington squad came up short in the Lakes 8 contest.

Ludington’s goal was scored by Bruce Thompson, while goalie Maxime Greiner made 14 saves in the losing effort. The Orioles fell to 13-3-2 overall and 4-2-1 in conference play.

No information was available about Orchard View scorers or the team’s record.

WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 8, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 0 – Freshman Isaiah Barco-Morales led the Warriors with a three-goal hat trick while Brant Zeerip scored twice for WMC.

Charlie Alfree, Hayden Hubers and Brevin Byrne has single tallies for WMC. The Warriors are now 13-1-2 overall and 7-1 in the conference, and will play for a Lakes 8 championship against Orchard View on Thursday.
