Bowling roundup: Ravenna boys roll to victory while Ravenna girls narrowly fall

The Ravenna boys bowling team defeated Oakridge 22-8 on Wednesday.
Derek Place led the Bulldogs with games of 255 and 236 while Ethan May bowled games of 239 and 197. Mason Foreman scored 231 while Andrew Guzman scored 208. Rounding out the scores were River Buckner with 182 and Jake Sladick with 171.
Ravenna girls fall to Oakridge
The Ravenna girls bowling team fell to Oakridge 16-14 on Wednesday.
Lauren May led the Bulldogs with games of 209 and 191 while Amaya Guzman scored 202. Rounding out the scores were Brieanna McFarren with 178 and Hannah Shull with 158.
Fruitport boys team defeats Reeths-Puffer
The Fruitport boys bowling team cruised past Reeths-Puffer 26.5-3.5 on Wednesday evening.
The Trojans were led by Logan Tietsma with a high game score of 239, while Connor Hines had games of 219 and 170. Evan Simonis had a score of 183 as well for Fruitport.
Fruitport girls squad falls short against RP
The Fruitport girls team dropped its contest to Reeths-Puffer by a 24-6 margin.
Jessica Plichta led the Trojans with scores of 191 and 171, while Kennadi Dystra and Charlee Vollmer each had 149-point games.
