The North Muskegon girls basketball team needed overtime to propelled to a 46-40 win over Shelby in a West Michigan Conference game on Thursday.
The Norse led 7-6 after the opening quarter but trailed 17-15 at halftime and 28-22 after the third stanza.
North Muskegon outscored the Tigers by a 16-10 margin during the fourth quarter to tie the game 38-38 at the end of regulation. The Norse closed the contest with an 8-2 run.
Syann Fairfield paced the Norse with 15 points and 12 rebounds while Ellie Hayhurst added eight points and 10 rebounds. Maddie Clarke contributed with six points.
The Tigers were led by Kendall Zoulek with 12 points while Courtney Brown added nine.
MASON COUNTY CENTRAL 42, HART 39- Rachel Allen propelled the Spartans to a win with 16 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three blocks.
Mason County Central was also paced by Maddy Bladzik with nine points, while Rachel Miller added eight points and 11 rebounds. Kelsey Kosiboski chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.
The Spartans led 9-6 after the first quarter, 20-15 at halftime and 33-24 after three quarters.
The Pirates were led by Nicole Rockwell with 10 points and seven rebounds while Jayd Hovey had eight points.
OAKRIDGE 44, MONTAGUE 24 – The Eagles continued there long WMC winning streak with a 20-point victory on Thursday.
Sophia Wiard led Oakridge with 26 points, four assists and five steals while Kyla Stewart added seven points.
The Eagles led 11-3 after the first quarter, 21-9 at halftime and 29-15 heading into the final stanza.
The Wildcats were paced by Braquelle Osborne with seven points and five rebounds.
WHITEHALL 50, RAVENNA 25 – Abby Seeger led the Vikings with 12 points and nine rebounds while Bailee Spicklemire added nine points and seven steals. Karoline Glamri chipped in with 10 rebounds for Whitehall.
The Vikings jumped out to a 12-0 lead after the first quarter, led 29-7 at halftime and 40-17 heading into the final quarter.
Whitehall is now 1-0 on the season and 1-0 in West Michigan Conference play.
PENTWATER 63, CADILLAC HERITAGE 12 – The Falcons jumped out to a 12-0 lead after the first quarter and led 31-6 at the half.
Terra Cluchey led Pentwater with 15 points and four assists while Julia Hall added 12 points, five rebounds and five steals. Madi Wagner contributed with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
