The Whitehall girls basketball team cruised past North Muskegon 55-30 on Tuesday in a West Michigan Conference contest.
The Vikings led 15-5 after the first quarter, 26-16 at halftime and 38-26 through three quarters.
Abby Seeger led the Vikings with 12 points eight rebounds, while Kacy Jeffries followed with 11 points and Bailee Spicklemire finished with 10 points and five steals.
The Norse were paced by Syann Fairfield with 11 points.
Whitehall improved to 2-0 in both the conference and overall while the Norse are now 2-1 overall and 1-1 in league play.
KENT CITY 71, GRANT 25- The Eagles jumped out to a quick start, recording a 26-2 lead at the end of the first and maintaining a commanding 40-9 advantage at halftime. Kent City led 57-20 after three quarters.
Kent City nailed 13 3-point shots as a team and was led by Jenna Harrison with 30 points while Kenzie Bowers added 19. Zara Weber chipped in with 16.
The Tigers were paced by Kassidy Doornbos, Cecelia Male and Kylee Wemple with five points each.
The Eagles improved to 3-1 on the season and will travel to Lakeview on Friday.
FRUITPORT CALVARY CHRISTIAN 69, GRAND RIVER PREP 50 – Kelsey Richards led the Eagles with 33 points and seven steals while Lizzie Cammenga finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Brionna Johnson added nine points and 10 rebounds and Kristina Warren had a team-high seven assists for Fruitport Calvary.
The Eagles are now 2-1 on the season.
REETHS PUFFER 52, LUDINGTON 36 – The Rockets led 16-9 after the first quarter, 32-19 at halftime and 42-32 heading into the fourth stanza.
Katie Mesyar led Ludington with 10 points while Makenzie Howe followed with eight points and led the team with three steals. Lindsey Holmes contributed six points for the Orioles.
The Rockets were led by Lauren Ross with 20 points, seven assists and five steals while Emily Caltagirone added 14 points and three assists.
The Orioles fell to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the Lakes 8 play while Reeths-Puffer is now 1-1 on the season.
NORTHPOINTE CHRISTIAN 56, MUSKEGON CATHOLIC 16 – The Crusaders trailed 18-2 after the first quarter and 32-5 at the half. The team finished up the third quarter trailing 49-11.
MCC is now 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in Lakes 8 play. The Crusaders will travel to face Orchard View on Friday.
ROCKFORD 41, MONA SHORES 29 – Mona Shores trailed 15-13 at the end of the first and went into halftime with a 26-21 deficit. A scoreless third quarter widened the gap to 34-21 in favor of the Rams.
Riley Rosenthal led the Sailors with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Emma Piasecki added 10 points and Lauren Beemer finished with five points.
The Sailors fell to 0-2 overall on the season.
SPARTA 38, FREMONT 25 – The Packers struggled offensively, trailing 13-7 after the first quarter and 22-14 at the half.
Fremont trailed 30-23 going into the fourth stanza.
Calla Miller and Paige Vandenberg each had six points for the Packers, who fell to 2-1 overall on the season.
PENTWATER 62, WALKERVILLE 26 – The Falcons carried a 30-17 lead at halftime after being tied 15-15 after the first quarter. Pentwater maintained the lead at 44-20 heading into the fourth frame.
Pentwater was led by Madi Wagner with 17 points and 11 rebounds while Terra Cluchey also had 17 points. Jhordan Miller-Rowe and Julia Hall each finished with eight points.
