The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls basketball team raced to a big first quarter lead and cruised to a 68-45 victory on Friday over Kalamazoo Hackett in the Crusader Holiday Showcase at Muskegon Catholic Central.
The Eagles took control early by grabbing a 23-8 lead in the first quarter.
Kelsey Richards poured in 29 points for Calvary in just three quarters for Calvary. Lizzie Cammenga added 20 points and eight rebounds, Brionna Johnson snagged 12 boards and Kristina Warren dished out seven assists.
Emily Wesner was credited with her strong defensive play for the Eagles, who are now 3-1 on the season.
