The Fremont girls basketball team won an overtime thriller over Grant 46-44 on Friday in C.S.A.A action.

The Packers jumped out to a 10-6 lead after the first quarter, led 24-19 at halftime and 34-32 through three quarters.

Grant closed out regulation with a 6-4 fourth quarter run to tie the game 38-38 and force overtime.

Paige Vandenberg led Fremont with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Natalie Jamieson finished with 14 points.

The Tigers were paced by Kirstyn Throop with 16 points.

Fremont improved to 6-3 overall and 4-1 in conference play.

KENT CITY 87, HESPERIA 23 – The Eagles got off to a fast start, finishing the first quarter with a 30-7 lead and the first half with a 59-11 edge.
The Eagles were outstanding from beyond the arc, knocking in 16 three pointers on the night.
Zara Weber led Kent City with 28 points, knocking down six threes on the night. Kenzie Bowers followed with 25 points and five threes while Jenna Harrison finished with 10 points.
Emily Bayle led Hesperia with 11 points and Alyssa Miller added 8.
Kent City improved to 7-2 overall and 4-0 in conference play. The Eagles will host Holton next Friday at 5:30 p.m.
