A 17-6 third quarter run led the North Muskegon girls basketball team to a 45-29 non-league victory over Holland Black River on Friday.
North Muskegon led 12-7 after the first quarter and 20-15 at halftime.
The Norse increased their lead to 37-21 after their strong third quarter.
Jaala Duncan led the Norse with nine points and eight rebounds, with Chandler Falkowski led North Muskegon under the basket with 11 rebounds.
The Norse are now 3-3 on the season and 1-3 in league play.

CENTRAL MONTCALM 69, FREMONT 39- The Packers trailed 19-3 after one quarter, 37-13 at halftime and 57-27 at the end of the third frame.
Paige Vandenberg paced Fremont with 11 points while Natalie Jamieson chipped in with eight.
The Packers are now 4-3 on the season.

WESTERN MICHIGAN CHRISTIAN 62, ORCHARD VIEW 16- Taylor Folkema led the Warriors with 21 points and seven steals while Megan Heiss added 12 points and five steals.
WMC jumped out to a 22-4 lead after the first, extended its lead to 36-9 at halftime and had a 54-13 advantage at the end of the third stanza.
The Warriors improved to 6-0 on the season.
O-K Blue Conference
SPARTA 50, SPRING LAKE 49- The Lakers dropped a hard fought battle in their conference opener against the Spartans Friday night.
Sparta came out hot, leading 15-9 after the first quarter.
The Lakers responded with a 19-10 second quarter run to take a 28-25 lead at halftime.
The Spartans regained the advantage at 42-41 heading into the final quarter.
Jenna Core led the Lakers with a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds while Madeline Zenas also chalked up a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
The Lakers fell to 3-2 on the season and 0-1 in conference play.
O-K Black Conference
MUSKEGON 75, KENOWA HILLS 25- A 28-point performance from Lyza Winston helped push the Big Reds to an O-K Black Conference win on Friday night.
Winston also dished out five assists and added six steals for Muskegon.
The Big Reds led 19-4 after the first quarter, 37-13 at halftime and had a 57-24 advantage into the fourth stanza.
Brianna Alexander and De’shonna Day chipped in with 12 and nine points, respectively for Muskegon.
The Big Reds improved to 2-3 on the season.
MONA SHORES 56, FRUITPORT 15- The Sailors managed to earn an O-K Black Conference win despite a slow start.
Mona Shores only led by a 6-3 margin after the first quarter before going on a 19-2 tear in the second quarter to take a 25-5 halftime advantage.
The Sailors outscored the Trojans 31-10 in the second half to cruise to the win.
Riley Rosenthal led the Sailors with 13 points and seven rebounds while Grace Piasecki added eight points.
The Trojans were paced by Andi Quasebarth with five points.
The Sailors improved to 1-5 on the season while Fruitport fell to 0-5 overall.
