The Kent City girls basketball team was on fire on Friday, setting a new girls single-game state record by hitting 25 three-pointers in an 89-33 victory over Holton in a CSAA contest.
The Eagles actually broke their own state record. They hit 23 in a game in 2013.
Five different Eagles scored from beyond the arc, led by Zara Weber with 10, Jenna Harrison with eight, and Kenzie Bowers with five.
Weber led Kent City with 30 points, Harrison added 26 and Bowers scored 21. Kent City is now 8-2 overall and has completed the first half of the CSAA season with a 5-0 mark.
