Prep wrestling: Reeths-Puffer dominates in two matches, Fruitport falls to Jenison

The Reeths-Puffer wrestling team had a great day on Friday, posting dominant wins over Grand Rapids West Catholic, 63-6, and Grand Rapids Union, 72-12.
A dozen Rockets posted 2-0 records in the two matches. They were Connor Bloomstrom (103), Jacob Blawat (119), Noah McKinnon (125), Jack Tevrucht (135), Jimmy Rozycki (140), Thade Rodosa (145), Caleb McNeil (152), Tyler Nichols (160), Payton Doben (171), Colby Stephenson (171), Gerrit Andrus (189) and Hunter McCall (215).
Fruitport wresters fall to Jenison
The Fruitport wrestling team had a tough match against Jenison on Friday, falling 48-27 in an O-K Black Conference match.
But several Trojans came out with individual victories. Four of them won by pins – Mason Brown (112), Dominic Dault (140), David Ross (152) and Zechariah Richardson (160).
Fruitport’s Crue Cooper (171) won his match by decision.
