The Shelby girls basketball team picked up its first win of the season, defeating North Muskegon 52-27 on Tuesday night in West Michigan Conference action.
Kendall Zoulek paced Shelby with 22 points and nine rebounds, while Lexi Schultz added nine points and both Jill Mitteer and Sharon Josephson followed with seven points apiece.
The Tigers led 15-3 after one frame and took a 33-7 lead into halftime.
Shelby outscored the Norse by a slim 14-13 margin during the third stanza.
The Tigers are now 1-10 on the season and 1-7 in conference play.
