Holton fought off a pesky Fruitport Calvary Christian squad 45-42 on Tuesday in non-conference boys basketball action. 

The Red Devil’s played the Eagles to a 9-9 tie after the first quarter, but led 25-16 at half time.

Fruitport Calvary (7-4) jumped out of the gate in the second half and trailed 25-24 after the start of the third quarter and led by as many as six points in the fourth quarter.

Holton was able to come back and pull away by the hot hand of Nathan Slowik who finished with 15 points.

The Eagles were led by Jacob McFarren and Ben Zelenka with 11 points each, Zach Zehr scored 10 points.
